La série Grappler Type J, entièrement repensée, tire parti des technologies haut de gamme de Shimano (Spiral X et Hi-Power X) tout en intégrant de nouvelles actions et conicités de blank issues des gammes phares de Shimano, pour une pêche au jig fluide et sans effort. Proposant une large gamme de puissances et d'actions, en versions casting et spinning, la série Grappler Type J offre des cannes polyvalentes et performantes, indispensables à tout pêcheur au jig en zone côtière ou hauturière. Les ingénieurs de Shimano ont intégré une augmentation significative de la puissance au talon des cannes Grappler Type J Medium Heavy (MH) à Extra-Extra Heavy (XXH) afin d'améliorer la force de levage du pêcheur. Tous les modèles Medium Light (ML) à Medium Heavy (MH) sont équipés du porte-moulinet innovant CI4+ de Shimano, qui accroît la sensibilité en transmettant davantage d'informations au pêcheur et en optimisant la prise en main. Les modèles Type J Heavy (H) à Extra-Extra Heavy (XXH) intègrent une poignée avant en V pour une ergonomie accrue lors du combat avec des poissons combatifs. Cette poignée offre également stabilité, confort et une esthétique haut de gamme, améliorant ainsi l'expérience de pêche sous tous ses aspects.

Hi-Power X

Hi-Power X construction uses diagonally-wrapped carbon tape to form an array of "X" shapes on the rod blank's outermost layer. The width of the tape, its winding angle and the part of the rod being wrapped are fine-tuned according to the target fish species. This manufacturing process allows Shimano to adjust these wraps during construction for precise actions, enhanced overall strength and added twist resistance. In short, Hi-Power X construction delivers sharp and crisp rod control for the angler.

Spiral X

Through its exclusive lightweight structure, Shimano's patented Spiral X construction enhances catching power for anglers. Spiral X construction consists of three layers: a middle layer of vertical fibers as well as inner and outer layers, both comprised of carbon tape that tightly winds the blank diagonally in opposite directions. By using this carbon tape in place of a conventional horizontal fiber sheet, Spiral X achieves enhanced compression rigidity and increased torsional rigidity without adding extra weight. This in turn facilitates instant power transmission for precise casting and fish fighting.
