Rebuilt for tournament anglers and bass enthusiasts alike, the redesigned Intenza A lineup of rods includes nine casting and four spinning models with actions encompassing versatility, power, glass and finesse. The new Intenza A rods leverage Shimano's DIAFLASH technology — a process that lays opposing wraps of carbon tape diagonally on the outermost layer of the lower blank forming a visual x-shaped array — to reinforce the butt section and resist twisting, flexing and energy loss. The benefit: enhanced casting performance and added pulling power. Cork grips now highlight Intenza's cosmetic overhaul and accompany the custom Shimano reel seat, while light Titanium Oxide guides accentuate the rod and provide enhanced rod balance for improved casting performance. The fully-redesigned Intenza A lineup offers a full quiver of actions to amplify performance to target the next trophy catch.

DIAFLASH

DIAFLASH technology is a reinforced structure that prevents twisting of the butt section for an added advantage during powerful casts and high-intensity battles. Engineers diagonally wrap carbon tape in opposite directions on the outermost layer of the butt section to form an array of "X" shapes. DIAFLASH minimizes energy loss from excess flexing in the rod butt section and enhances pulling power when it matters most.
